On the subject of Letting Go

The subject of "letting go" has come up a couple of times the past few weeks. Letting go of the past, letting go of family, letting go of an ambition to change course, letting go of control. I myself have surrendered control over one situation or the other, only to try to get what I want again the next day... It's not an easy thing to do!​

But magic happens when you let go. Something better comes along. It may not be apparent at the time, but you see it in hindsight. How many times have you seen this in your life? A better relationship, a better job, a better career path, a more enjoyable time, better health... But it takes trust!​

And trust is not an easy thing to develop. Especially if you don't know who you're trusting. Trust in the universe? Who is that? ... And that's the key question.​

Is the "universe" good or bad? Or is it indifferent to my needs and wants? Is it warm and loving or a cold, mechanical being? Does it have my best interest at heart or will it sacrifice me for the greater good? Who am I for this higher intelligence to take interest in?

I wish I could tell you my answer!! But this is a personal understanding that is unique to you. And your choices in life will be continuously shaped by this understanding as you progress on your own personal journey. 

So I encourage you to keep asking, keep searching, and look forward to your discoveries in excited anticipation!
