If you have blocks, that just means you're human. Nobody, not one person, moves through life without them. So before we go any further, let's make this clear ... Having blocks is not a character flaw. It's not something wrong with you. It's just what happens when you live long enough to accumulate experience.
A block is resistance. Resistance to an action, like speaking in front of a room. Resistance to a situation, like walking into a party with someone you'd rather avoid. Resistance to a condition, like seeing your bank balance drop below a certain number and feeling your whole body tense.
They come from an experience in your life. A dramatic moment that taught you to play small. A comment that hurt so much that you now avoid being that visible ever again. A lesson passed down from a parent that hardened into a life philosophy you never chose... “Don't trust strangers. Nobody looks after you but you.”
Think of it like dust settling on a window. Your True Self is right there, trying to shine through, but the accumulated dust makes it harder to see clearly. It makes it harder to feel true to yourself. And it takes more energy just to do ordinary things when you’re resisting.
Understanding a block is not the same thing as clearing it. You can know exactly where a fear came from and still feel it every time you get close to the edge of your comfort zone. That's because blocks don't live in your mind. They live in your body, as trapped energy, as a habit of thought and feeling that fires every time you try to step past that edge.
This is why simply pushing through with willpower so often backfires. You can force the action and still carry the anxiety underneath it. I know, because I did exactly that for years. I kept functioning, kept showing up, and developed migraines from pushing through it all.
Blocks are energy. And energy releases easily if you know how to do it properly. It doesn’t need years of effort. It doesn’t need grinding habit-change. It’s more like letting go of something you've been gripping onto tightly. Letting go itself takes almost no effort at all... the locked-in energy and effort was really in holding on.
The work was never to become a different person. The work is to clear what's covering who you already are.
I go deeper into where blocks come from and why they live in your body, not your mind, in this video: Blocks Hide You
