February 2024 Letter

I've always been logical and level headed in all my choices. I weighed all the pros and cons and went with the choice that gives me the best benefit. I have followed the path that I've been taught leads to success.

But at 45, I realized that I wasn't where I wanted to be. My logical mind brought me where everyone thought I should be: married, big house, successful career, living in a rich country. But I felt ungrateful that I wasn't content with all these.

Because my mind doesn't know my desires... My heart does.

I've been re-acquainted with my heart these last few years and I found a lot of things that I didn't know I loved. I've started dreaming when I never dared before. I'm discovering that part of myself I ignored for so long.

So now I'm changing my approach to life. I will ask my heart what it wants (which is what it's good at), and I will ask my mind to figure out how to get there (which is what it's good at).

In this month of hearts, I would like to invite you to do the same.
