After purchasing our apartment in Provence, we had just enough savings left for 10 more months. It got me really worried.
So early in the year I made a deal with the universe: I would set the worry aside until we only had one month left.
That’s when I had a gut feeling that it was time to reposition our investments.
A few weeks later the market tanked. My heart should have sunk to the floor… but surprisingly, I was okay. I told myself “Oh well, it’s going to go up again.”

It was exciting. I was grateful. But not really surprised.
So this week, we took out 10% of the profits: $50k… We intend to enjoy our life now, not some time in the future.
Grateful for another year of this life we’ve built. Thankful for the space to choose the right clients without rushing. Mindful of the freedom to focus on what matters… instead of survival.
